FAQ

Questions, answered.

A few things you may want to know before getting started.

Do I need to replace my existing website? +

Not necessarily. We'll look at what you already have and determine whether it can be improved or whether rebuilding makes more sense. In many cases we're able to build around your existing domain and branding rather than starting completely from scratch.

Do I have to change my business phone number? +

No. We don't recommend changing a published business number simply for the sake of implementing an automation. Where possible, we work with your existing phone system or integrate an appropriate communications system around it. The one exception is features like missed-call text-back or AI call answering, which require a mobile-capable number to send texts; if your current number is a landline, we'll set up a separate tracking number for those features specifically, while your main published number stays the same.

Do you guarantee Google rankings? +

No. Search rankings depend on factors outside anyone's control, including competition, location, search context and Google's systems. Our work focuses on improving the accuracy, structure and usefulness of your online presence. Meaningful ranking movement typically takes three to six months to become measurable, and we report on what's changing each month rather than promising a specific position.

Who owns my website? +

Your domain name, your Google Business Profile, and your business phone number are always yours, regardless of how long you've been a client. The website itself is owned and hosted by us while you're an active subscriber, which is part of how we're able to offer a lower upfront cost than building a site outright. Every plan includes a point after which the site transfers to you at no charge, and you can also take it sooner for a smaller fee if you'd like to leave before that date. Your service agreement spells out the exact terms for your plan.

What happens if I need something that isn't included? +

Work outside your monthly service is scoped and approved separately before we begin. This can include new pages, major redesigns, custom functionality, additional websites, integrations and other substantial work. We'll always give you a clear quote in writing first, nothing extra gets billed without your sign-off.

Can you work with my existing software? +

Often, yes. The first step is determining what your current systems can provide through existing integrations, exports or APIs. We'll review what you're already using during onboarding and let you know what connects directly and what might need a workaround.

What happens if I miss a customer call? +

Depending on your plan and phone setup, we can implement missed-call text-back, which automatically texts the caller when a call goes unanswered, goes to voicemail, or comes in as busy, and logs the interaction as a lead. The message differs depending on whether the call came in during business hours or after, so callers always get an accurate response either way.

Do I have to manage the website myself? +

No. Your plan includes ongoing hosting, security, and maintenance, along with a defined number of minor website updates each month, things like text and photo swaps. Larger changes, like new pages or a redesign, are quoted separately so you always know what you're paying for.

Can I cancel? +

Yes. Your service agreement sets a minimum term, after which you can cancel anytime with 30 days' written notice and no penalty. Canceling before the end of your minimum term involves a modest early termination fee, and if you'd like to take your website with you before its scheduled transfer date, there's a separate, smaller fee for that as well, decreasing the longer you've been a client. When service ends, we'll document the handoff and disable any automations we manage for your business; your domain and Google Business Profile stay with you throughout, regardless of timing.

Do you work with contractors outside one specific trade? +

Yes. The systems are designed for service businesses where the owner or a small team is busy performing or managing jobs rather than sitting at a desk answering every inquiry, plumbers, HVAC technicians, electricians, landscapers, and similar trades all run into the same problem of missed calls and inconsistent follow-up.
